Welcome
Message from our President
!שלום, Shalom!, thank you for visiting our website. We are a small Reform Congregation in Yuma, Arizona, which is in the middle of the desert. Our name is Congregation Beth HaMidbar (House in the Desert/Wilderness). We are members of the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ).
This year, Congregation Beth HaMidbar will be conducting the High Holy Days services via Zoom once again. The services will be conducted by Rabbi Stephen J. Einstein. Please contact us if you wish to join the service.
Many Reform congregations do livestream Friday night and Saturday morning services, as well as holiday services. Find a congregation in these listings and check their website for more information.

After things return to normal, Friday night services will start at 7:00 p.m. (once or twice a month) and a lay leader holds services in the absence of a rabbi. You are welcome to worship with us regardless of your background.
In addition to important days such as Passover, Hannukah, Sukkot, Beth HaMidbar finds other reasons to celebrate together, which usually includes food.
If you are visiting or planning to move to Yuma, you will feel very welcomed by our congregation. Whether you call this a shul, a temple, a synagogue, or home, please stop in!
For information regarding dates, location, and time of services and our location, please call (928) 210-8368. We will try to keep this website updated with the current information as well.
